Desprendete was founded on June 30, 2020, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, when Honduras found itself in a sanitary and economic crisis, a group of youths decided to take the led on an initiative focused on helping families in rural and urban communities of low income, as well as Honduran vulnerable groups, by providing immediate assistance in the form of food baskets and hygiene kits, while promoting education in rural and urban communities through educational talks, such as preventive spread measures of COVID-19. For teen moms in hospitals, information on the proper care during pregnancy. Furthermore, we have also performed projects focused on helping children continue with their education by providing them with school materials. What started as a project now aims to be a legalized institution.
